For 27 years, AHS has joined with Partnership for the Nationwide Trails System to carry path organizations, advocates, and federal land administration companions collectively. It’s the mountaineering and path neighborhood’s largest alternative of the 12 months to collectively come collectively and advance our legislative and company priorities by being head to head with congressional resolution makers and company management on the Nationwide Park Service, Bureau of Land Administration, and the U.S. Forest Service. 

This 12 months was no totally different as we expanded our conferences, met in new venues, and continued to throw an superior trails celebration on the REI DC Flagship Retailer!

Collectively the paths neighborhood had over 100 conferences with congressional places of work to advocate for key points like funding for our nation’s trails, passage of an out of doors recreation package deal, just like the EXPLORE Act and America’s Out of doors Recreation Act, assist for equitable entry by way of Transit to Trails and Outdoor for All, and highlighting the affect of brief staffing and wildfires on path managers and customers. 

First time members, like Peggy, and longtime veterans had been in a position to make their voices heard and advance key outside recreation, conservation, and public land coverage!
